Another catch up...

Hello you lovely lot and how are we all ?

it has been forever and a day since i have written anything. im so sorry but once again things got crazy and i stopped making things both crochet and beaded.  i have once again moved. yep again. that makes 5 places in one year that i have lived. this shall be the last and nope not just because its nearing the end of the year (already ?? cant believe it ) im in my own little flat again which im loving. its slightly bigger than my last place with 2 bedrooms instead of one which means Quinn had his own room. damn that dog is spoilt. hes also growing so quickly and is now nearly 6 months old.

this is also my newest add to my little family.. stumpy... shes very little and cuddly and loves quinn.

they get along very well as you can see

so other than that i haven't been making very much. between moving working and getting things sorted i haven't really had chance. i have made a few things which i will upload very soon. as soon as i get some good lighting.

much love

A Quick Catch up....Again

Evening Folks!! it has been a long time since i posted anything and that is because once again i have had so much going on. this year seems to have thrown me so many curve balls all at once which has caused my life to do a few 360s. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it !!) life has thrown me another.

Not long after losing frenzy i had to move back to somerset due to unforeseen issues in Southampton. which is very sad i loved living in the city but these things happen. I couldn't stay there and so i came home. I am now living with my mum and step father who have been brilliant. we have had a few years where we haven't been very close but this has been sorted and we are now closer than ever. yay!! they came and helped me when i needed it and that is something that i am forever grateful for.

so i am now looking for my own place again and just started a new job. im a fairly optimistic person so i am excited about this. my next move will mean i have lived in 5 places in one year so far. hopefully that will be my last move. keep your fingers crossed guys!!!

i have also gained a new friend... his name is Quinn and he is adorable.
He was a belated 21st present from my mum and dad. and he is precious.

Ahhh Life haha things change so quickly but sometimes for the better. i have been beading and crocheting a few things and as soon as there is a good day and i can i will take some pictures for you.

Much love

R.I.P Frenzy

It is with deepest regret that I have to  write that Frenzy who  my page is named after has passed away. I know a lot of people would say that  she was just a cat or just a pet but to me she was everything. Literally. She meant everything to me and I will miss her so very much. from the day we brought her home she was amazing and I love her more than anything. RIP baby xxx

crazy life and works in progress

Evening folks !!
How are we all ?? I haven't posted in ages and have to day that I don't really have anything finished to show you. But I can finally tell you about my massive changes that have occurred....

Ready ?? I've moved... Again haha :) but this time it's a lot further away. I've moved from Somerset to Southampton which is completely different. Mainly because it's a city rather than a small town in the middle of the countryside which is very strange to me lol.

Anyhoo here is what I've been working on :)
This is the pattern Sophie s universe which you can find on Google but I will post a link when I can :). This is her all packed up ready for the move :)
frenzy has been enjoying all the wool

This is how far I've got so far. I love the colours and how it looks so far. I still have a long way to go though.

This was my first attempt but I wasn't sure on the colours so I started  again.
Frenzy still loves the granny square blanket but no more progress has been made in that yet.
I now have three blankets as my work in progress. I haven't done any beads in a while and am thoroughly enjoying crocheting for now :).
I shall keep you updated with my progress both blanket and move wise.

The Wonkiest Project Ever

Greeting my lovelies. hope you are all doing well.

Remember way back when ( in i think November time) i started my really really long scarf?? this was before i learnt to crochet and was the first time id picked up a pair of knitting needles in years. and well... it wont be happening again for a long time lol. Ive found i defiantly prefer crocheting. but i couldn't just not do anything with this scarf.
i had so many projects that were not being finished so i decided that i either finish them, turn them in to something else or scrap them. A few Beady ones did get scrapped unfortunately. but i turned the others in to something else. yeah you read right i didn't finish a single one lol.

so going back to the scarf i decided to turn it in to something else. i had also decided a long time ago that i wanted to make a bag. that was another project but i made it to big and it was turned in to a cat bed. Not that Frenzy will use it. she prefers my bed lol. As you can see ...
The scarf was made using moss stitch and ribbing stitches. the idea was it would end and start with the ribbing and have the moss in between. I never realized how boring i find using only the one color before. but yes it is very boring and wont be happening again for a while lol.

i signed the scarf of at a significant sizing for the bag and single crocheted around the edges, this is where it goes wonky. the ribbing stitch draws the fabric in where as the moss lies very flat and wide. This wouldn't have been a problem for the scarf but for the bag it was. As i was taking the pictures Frenzy decided she wanted to have a look and give me directions.

i used an old pair of trousers that where fraying and too small :( and cut the leg off to make the lining to help the bag keep its shape. I deliberately cut the fabric to big and the pinned and sewed it in.

this again went wonky due to my bad sewing skills.... and cutting of fabric skill lol :) paper and hair i can cut straight.. fabric no way lol
i then added a row of single crochet around the edges to join it all together and added the strap which is made up of six strand of chain stitches plaited together.

 again this is wonky....
The bag is in no way perfect and i could have done a lot differently and better but it was a learning curve and when i make another one i will do it better. i haven't decided if im going to use it as a bag or a storage bag yet. to be honest im just glad something has been done with it.

so there we have it my wonkiest project ever. (yet). hope you like it or if not let me know what you think i should do with it or ways to improve it :)

much love jade and frenzy.

Oh My God !!!

Wow !! its been ages since i posted anything. things have been crazy here but its all sorting itself out for now. i say for now because there are some even bigger changes to come but i cant tell you more than that for now. :)

so I'm in my new flat and i LOVE it here. living on my own is something i never thought id do and when it come to it i thought id be scared. especially as I'm scared of the dark. however its nothing like that. its comforting and I'm loving everything about it right now. several people told me i wouldn't be able to do it well you were wrong haters so see ya later mwhahaha :)

Frenzy certainly seems to be liking it as well. shes been a lot calmer and more cuddly since we have been here. shes also being very spoilt.
She seems to be trying to claim the granny square blanket as well. that has unfortunately become my work in progress. i have so many unfinished projects right now so I'm working through  and either scraping or finishing them.
my new desk area is smaller than in our last place but she loves sitting with me and spying on what I'm doing. that much hasn't changed.

i have also started my new job although I'm still at the salon. I'm starting a care job which I'm loving.

so everything has changed and still more to come. sorry i haven't got anything new to show you but i will have soon. promise.

Much love

Afghan in Progress

As promised here is a progress check on my granny blanket. It has been slow going but that's mainly because i keep changing my mind. ive ended up settling on doing a couple different ones. i found an amazing blog called According to Matt who has given my so much inspiration. Check his blog out. you will be astounded !!!
this is some of the wool that is being used. 21 balls of it !! yikes !!
i started off planning to do all the squares first mainly because i wanted to take some cool pictures with them and plan where they where all going. this has since changed as its much easier ( and fun ) to do it all as im going.
the picture below is the blanket so far i haven't done loads but you can see it growing.
Please excuse the bad pictures. everything such as mess right now and the lighting in the games room isnt the best this time of day but i wanted to show you it asap.

ill show you again soon :)

A Quick Catch Up

Hello you lovely lot :) hope you are all well :)

My intention when i stated this blog was to post once a week. However that hasn't worked. And it wont be for a little while im sad to say. This is because some major changes in my life have had to happen. i shant be going in to details but due to a relationship breakdown im having to move house and im also trying to find another job. yep all at once. im sad to write this because i never thought i would have to. however im pleased to also say  that my now ex ( :( :( :( ) and me are still very good friends and he is as i keep saying the best ex a girl could hope for. hes been amazing as has his mum and my parents. they have helped me a lot.

but the upside to this is i get to have my own little flat. my own little  home of which im extremely excited about. i have never lived on my own and never thought i would. so this is going to be amazing !! i cant wait :)

this also means i can post pics of the flat as it progresses. but i wont have internet for a little bit which is why i wont be posting for a bit. but as soon as its up and running i will be !!! first job lol :) .

i am also moving away from beading so much. again this is a sad thing but happy at the same time as Ive found i love crochet. my afghan blanket is growing slowly but surely. i shall post a quick pic before i leave this home so you can see it.

i hope you don't find it odd me writing this but this blog is also to help me keep track of things and i wanted to explain a bit about what was happening.

and don't worry Frenzy will be coming with me :)

not that she really cares lol :) shes fine with whatever happens :)

My ongoing projects cont.

Part 2 :)

i didnt realise how much i had done and hadnt shown anyone . oopsie lol .

Anther filled netting bangle this time with swarovski bicones and glass pearls. i don't normally use swarkovski because the local bead shop don't sell them and i actually prefer precosia but i was given these a long time ago and wanted to use them on something so i used them in this. It isnt my favorite one of these bangles but i think that's because its not as simple as the fire polished version and is quiet flexible.

This was my very first hugs and kisses bracelet done in hematite and blue bicones.
i entered a kumihimo challenge a while ago and it was my first time entering a competition type thing. i think i got one vote lol. the other pieces entered where so much nicer but i truly love this pendent the color is just so vibrant and stunning. it was also the first time i finished the ends with a cone style finding which meant using eye pins rather than the traditional simple glue on ends.
The pendant looks almost like a dragon scale hence why its on my game of thrones books. i took this piece in to show Amber (my boss) and she claimed it straight away. i think she liked it lol.
My army of beady birds wanted to be made into something so i popped one on to a keyring and this was the result.

This was another kumihimo bracelet but this time from a pattern by Pru Mcrae which you can find on her page at  http://prumihimo.com/blog/ i love her work and he patterns are so easy to read and she is so helpful as well.
i was asked to make a red and black version for a friend and this was the board as i was setting it up.
i made this version of the pendent which has no name ( i just realized this) a very long time ago and never showed it. this was for Amber's birthday present last year. she wears it every so often which pleases me no end lol.

Im sure there is loads that i still havent shown you but thats all for now. one day ill show you whats in my unfinished works box lol.

see you soon
